Do you want to have ice cream? Well, last month was National Ice Cream Month! You should've gotten a scoop or two! This national holiday is celebrated on the third Sunday of July each year, was the brainchild of president Ronald Reagan who says that we should observe with ceremonies and activities.
I think that this is great for ice cream lovers, but I also think that if we have too many events that celebrate foods, it will be bad. If we have too many events that celebrate foods, then all of the holidays that we celebrate, and each event will become a mockery. The first ice cream cone was invented accidentally in 1904 at the World Fair in St. Louis by an ice cream vendor who ran out of bowls and came up with the brilliant idea of teaming up with a waffle maker to keep up with the demand. What other foods do you think should have a national month? Let me know in the comments!
